Kelowna Falcons

Tough Tuesday

It was a tough Tuesday night for the Kelowna Falcons falling 11-4 in Corvallis to open the three-game series.

The Knights jumped on Falcons’ starter Amane Kondo, scoring three times in the first inning on two hits and they took advantage of a defensive error.

In the top of the third however the Falcons would tie it with a three-run inning of their own on a two-out rally. Griffin Palfrey tallied a two-run single before scoring on a Ryoma Imani base hit.

The Knights regained the lead in the fourth before the Falcons tied it again in the top of the fifth when Garet Crenshaw homered, his first of the summer.

Unfortunately, in the bottom of the inning the Knights would take the lead for good scoring an unearned run, which turned out to be the game winner. It was one of five errors the defence made on the night.
Offensively the Falcons collected seven hits with Palfrey recording a three hit night and had those two runs driven in.

Wednesday night the Falcons (7-3) meet the Knights (8-2) again with Jaxon Byrd heading to the hill for the visitors.

The Falcons return to Elks Stadium this weekend to open a three-game series with the Port Angeles Lefties beginning on Friday night. Tickets can be purchased in advance HERE.
