What is your major: I major in Criminal Justice because I found it very interesting.

Who is your baseball hero? I really like to watch certain guys pitch like Nathan Eovaldi, Tyler Glasnow, Max Fried and Cole Ragans.

Your favourite Major League Team: My favorite team is the San Diego Padres.

Why play baseball and not another sport? My family loves baseball so it makes sense why I am playing this sport.

Any family in the game? No I don’t have any family in the game as of right now, but perhaps down the road.

What drew you to the school you are attending: I am attending my school because it was an opportunity to continue my baseball career and still earn a degree.

Previous School: Attended Palomar College in San Marcos, California, from 2021-23.
2023 (Sophomore): Made 14 appearances … went 2-0 with a 2.50 ERA in 18 innings … allowed 10 hits and 16 strikeouts.
2022 (Freshman): Saw limited action, making three appearances, posting a 19.29 ERA in 2 1/3 innings with five Ks.

Prep: A 2020 graduate of Great Oak High School in Temecula, California … helped the Wolfpack win the California Interscholastic Federation title in junior year.

Personal: Parents are Jesus Castro and Nitze Torres Garcia … has an older brother, Jesus Castro, and two younger sisters, Yael and Sarahi Castro … majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice … learning how to golf but loves the sport and plays in his free time … has double-jointed fingers and toes.
