Falcons Host Bells

The Kelowna Falcons (8-7) will welcome the top team in the North Division, the Bellingham Bells (10-2) to Elks Stadium beginning on Tuesday night to open a three-game series.

Last week the Falcons were Bellingham, taking one game from a very tough pitching staff. As a matter of fact, the Bells are the West Coast League’s top staff so far this season and hold the League’s best record.
The Falcons are hoping a little home cooking will turn their fortunes after winning just twice on the recent six-game road swing through Bellingham and Wenatchee. The Falcons are currently 5-1 at Elks Stadium this summer.

During that series in Bellingham the Falcons actually outhit the Bells in the three-game series 20-17, but couldn’t get that timely hit with runners in scoring position. That said, they did see hits up and down the line-up with JP Smith leading the club with four in the series while Sam Flores collected his first homer of the season in the series finale.

Tuesday night be one of the first 100 fans through the gates to receive a free 8×10 action photo of Jonas Salk and have him autograph it following the game. Then Thursday get ready for the annual Fire Fighters night will all ticket sales being donated to the BC Burn Fund. The Fire Fighters will take over the ballpark with all sorts of fun activities.
