Kids Camps Are Back!

The Kelowna Falcons coaching staff is pleased to announce the return of the Falcons Kids Camp this month and next.

For two sessions at Elks Stadium the Falcons coaching staff will welcome young baseball players aged 5-14. During the two-day camp kids will learn and hone their fundamentals of baseball from the certified coaching staff along with some of their favourite Falcons players.

The first camp session will be held on Friday June 30 and Monday July 3, 2023, and will run for three hours from 9:00am – 12:00pm. The cost of registration will include two free tickets to a Falcons regular season game.

A second session will take place at Elks Stadium as well on Wednesday July 12 and Thursday July 13, 2023, with the same time frame.

Campers will work on the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, pitching and base running during the camp and receive a better understanding of their approach to the game.

Registration for either camp session is open now, just click HERE. Registration for the two-day camp is $125.00/player per session (June or July).

Campers will need to bring their glove, water bottle, bats, helmet, and protective cup. Baseball cleats are encouraged but not required.

About the Falcons coaches and your instructors:

Doug Noce he was signed by the Montreal Expos in 1990 after an outstanding collegiate career as a catcher, named First Team All-American in 1989 following his school’s Division II national title. He played two seasons in the Expos organization before turning his attention to coaching. He coached at the collegiate level for 10 years, three at his alma mater of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, then seven at Allan Hancock College (ACH) as the head coach and compiled a record of 136-86.

John Noce has spent the last 15 years as the head baseball coach at JW North and Ramona high schools in Riverside California. He played at both Sacramento City College from 1982-1984 in California and the University of Miami where he was a part of their 1985 College World Series championship team. He then traveled to Livorno Italy and spent four years playing and coaching before two more years in the Chicago Cubs organization where he was a short season coach in the mid-90’s.

Angelo Loomis has been part of the San Benito high school baseball program for the last 18 years. The school currently has four active Major League players and more than a handful of Division 1 & 2 on current rosters. In the last 14 years, San Benito has ranked among the best public programs in Northern California and coach Loomis brings a variety of skills to the camp specializing in catching and pitching.
