Kelowna Falcons

‘Cats Scratch

The Kelowna Falcons gave up a run in the bottom of the first inning and couldn’t recover, falling 5-0 in Victoria in the first of the three this weekend with the Harbourcats.

The run was a sacrifice-fly off starter Cory Lawson who would last four innings, striking out one but gave up three runs in total and was hit with the loss. Max Tremblay made his Falcons debut on the bump and gave up two more runs in the seventh inning to put the game out of reach.

Offensively the Falcons were frustrated all night by four Harbourcats pitchers collecting only four hits.
Despite the loss the Falcons still cling to the final playoff spot. They are two games up on the Nanaimo NightOwls with eight games remaining. They find themselves 1.5 games behind the Harbourcats for the third seed in the North Division.

Saturday night these two will meet again in an extremely important game. Righty Teagan Ribbink gets the ball the Falcons against righty Daniel Gonzalez. Fans can watch the game HERE.

The Falcons return to Elks Stadium on Wednesday to welcome the Kamloops NorthPaws to town. Online tickets for that game, or any of the five remaining home games are available now by clicking HERE.
