Spartans Invade

A pair of San Jose State Spartans are set to make the trip north for the summer as right-handed pitcher Jonathan Clark and outfielder/pitcher James Shimashita (pictured) will suit up for the Kelowna Falcons for the 2019 season.

Clark, a San Marcos, California native, is currently in his freshman season in South California where he has pitched in 14 games for the Spartans, seven of those being starts. Another freshman in the class this season for the Spartans is Shimashita, who hails from San Diego, California. The graduate of James Madison high school sits fourth on the team in at-bats with 155 on the season thus far, playing in 44 games and holding a .290 batting average.
