A Pair Of Tritons

A pair of Tritons from UC San Diego will join the Falcons roster in 2018 as Manager Bryan Donohue welcomes infielder Alex Eliopulos and utility player Keenan Brigman.

Eliopulos primarily plays at third and can swing the bat.  Last season he finished with a .321 average in 56 games played.  He smacked 67 hits, five homeruns, and 15 doubles and brought in 40 RBIs.  The junior has some athletic bloodlines growing up with his father a third-round selection of the Dallas Cowboys in the 1982 NFL draft.  He then played a season for the St. Louis Cardinals (1983) and two seasons with the New York Jets as a linebacker.

Brigman is in his sophomore campaign with the Tritons and has been used in a number of different positions.  He hit .307 last year in 55 games, and collected 54 hits, three of them doubles and drove in 29 runs.    He also stole nine bases and was caught just once.  The former hockey player has a brother, Bryson, who is playing for the Seattle Mariners’ Class A affiliate in Clinton, Iowa.
