Friday Night Blowout

The Kelowna Falcons bats came alive on Friday night in a 14-4 victory over the visiting Kamloops NorthPaws.

Wearing special Canada Day jerseys, the Falcons started the fireworks early this long weekend belting out 19 hits led by JP Smith who was simply outstanding. He collected four hits and drove in five including hammering his second homerun of the season, a two-run shot in the sixth inning.

Jonas Salk, Jacob Devenny and Trey Duffield also had massive nights collecting three hits each. Salk with two doubles and knocked in three runs, while Duffield picked up a pair of RBIs with Devenny scoring four times.

On the mound, four Falcon pitchers scattered six hits with Griffin Palfrey recording the victory coming out of the pen in the third inning. He struck out five over the course of four innings and allowed just one hit.
The Falcons (13-11) now travel to Kamloops for Saturday night and Sunday afternoon to face the NorthPaws (5-20). Fans can WATCH HERE.

They return to Elks Stadium on Monday to open a three-game series with the Corvallis Knights.
