Roster Moves

The Falcons have had some roster changes heading into their longest road swing of the year.

Andrew Godbold who played just six games has signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers and has begun his pro career.  Godbold was instant offense for the Falcons, hitting .304 in those six game, collecting seven hits, a homer and five RBIs  He was selected by the Dodgers in the 23rd round, 699th overall.

His Southern Louisiana University teammate Kevin Carr has also left due to injury.  The senior-to-be didn’t collect a hit in his four game with the Falcons but was solid in the field.

Cole Hamilton has also left the club after his struggles at the plate.   In 11 games Hamilton was 1-22 with a walk.

Pitcher Alex Emerson and Tyler Sanders have also left for personal reasons.  Emerson appeared in three games, throwing just three innings and leaves with an ERA of 15.00.  Sanders appeared in 5.2 innings over five games, allowing six earned runs on 10 hits and struck out seven.

The Falcons embark on their nine game road trip on Tuesday in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
