A Trio Of Otters

The Kelowna Falcons will be joined by a trio of Cal State University Monterey Bay Otters in 2015, two of them with Major League ties.

The California College Athletic Association team, who enters Conference Championship play this weekend with a 32-18 record, will send Bryan Bostjancic (Forest Knolls, CA), Kevin Davidson (Yucaipa, CA), and Justin Flores (Fresno, CA) north of the border in June.

Bostjancic, whose brother Cory pitched for the Tri-City Dust Devils in the San Diego Padres system last season, is currently in his junior year. In 15 games this season, Bostjancic is hitting .369 with 7 RBI’s while playing in the infield.

Davidson has started all 50 games for the Otters this season, hitting .335. He has 10 homeruns and 51 RBI’s, while sporting a .493 OBP. His brother is Matt Davidson, who played 31 games for Arizona in 2013, and currently plays for the Chicago White Sox Triple-A Affiliate in Charlotte.

Flores is 6’4, 210 lbs and has been the Otters Designated Hitter this season, playing in 49 games. He is hitting .313, with 28 RBI’s on the season.

The Falcons would like to wish these three players and the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters the best of luck in their playoffs starting this weekend, and look forward to seeing Justin, Kevin, and Bryan in the lineup starting in June.

The Falcons open up the 2015 season June 5th-8th in Victoria before returning June 9th to face the Yakima Valley Pippins. The Home Opener on June 9th is FREE ADMISSION and sponsored by TELUS and Comcast.
