Kelowna Falcons

Sweep!

How sweep it is!

The Kelowna Falcons took down the Port Angeles Lefties on Sunday night 5-1 to complete the seasonal series sweep, beating the Lefties in all six games they faced them this summer.

The pitching was the strength on Sunday night behind starter Reid Hensley. The righty who is off to Oklahoma University in a few days threw 6.2 innings, striking out nine, allowing just three hits and recorded the victory. Reliever Tai Phetluangsy finished the ballgame throwing the last 2.1 innings and struck out two.

On the offensive side both Sam Flores and Trey Duffield had a multi-hit game while Luke Solis and Jonas Salk tallied an RBI.

With the victory the Falcons find themselves in the thick of the playoff hunt, two games back of the division leading Wenatchee Applesox. They will now head out on the road for seven straight visiting the Nanaimo NightOwls and Victoria Harbourcats for three-game series, before a quick one game stop in Kamloops.

The Falcons are back at Elks Stadium on Wednesday August 2nd to wrap up the regular season with five straight at home. Tickets for any of the final five home games are available HERE.
